Off the Track WA Community Fund

New funding is available to support the involvement of retired racehorses in education, therapy and wellbeing projects.

The Off the Track WA Community Fund aims to nurture innovation and wider opportunities for retired racehorses.

Off the Track WA, a branch of Racing and Wagering Western Australia, is well known for sponsorships and support programs to assist horses making the transition from racing into a range of activities such as dressage, jumping, eventing or adult riders.

The Off the Track WA Community Fund builds on the range of resources by targeting non-riding activities and new ideas for engaging the various talents and abilities of former racehorses.

Proposals are welcome from equine therapy projects, wellbeing or assisted learning programs which benefit students through engagement with horses in ways other than riding.

Funding applications are open until 4pm 31 March 2023. For more information or to make an application, contact the Animal Welfare team at animalwelfare@rwwa.com.au.
